Update (July 13, 2020):
In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, Journey Counseling remains open for business and eager to help. We’re responding to the crisis by offering new ways for clients to meet with our counselors. For those who wish, face-to-face meetings in the Journey offices will continue, with all necessary precautions and sanitary procedures observed.
Some of our counselors will offer telehealth sessions through videoconferencing services such as FaceTime, Google Hangout, or Zoom. The US Department of Health and Human Services has issued a statement allowing telehealth to be done with non-HIPPA compliant platforms and software during this COVID-19 nationwide public health emergency. (You can read this statement here: https://www.hhs.gov/hipaa/)
Journey staff and clients will continue to maintain at least six feet of distance during in-person meetings. In addition to this, both counselors and clients are required to wear face masks while in the office. Counselors will be washing hands and cleaning surfaces on a regular basis, and we will be monitoring our temperatures and any potential symptoms
Your counselor may ask that you remain in your car, and will call or text you to come up to our office when they are ready for you.
We are committed to finding ways to continue to help during this unprecedented time.
